excerpt: For approximately the last
1700 years, the church has been instructing the
institutionalized believers about Spiritual Gifts
from a bias. This was originally done to place the
people in bondage, as the institution of the church
was spiritually divided into two halves: the “haves”
and the “have nots”. The clergy, the
“haves”, were, and still are in some
instance, considered to be the only called. The
laity, the “have nots”, were disallowed
any type of spiritual responsibility. This produced
a system that not only took mankind into the dark
ages, but in many ways is still practiced today.
In this line of reasoning, the pastor, minister,
priest, etc. performs all the duties of ministry
defined by the church because they are the only
ones spiritually equipped. The laity, the “have
nots”, are required to support financially
and physically all the desires of the “haves”.
This model is not supported by Scripture, but was
rather developed after the model of the Emperor
of Rome, who controlled all aspects of the “kingdom”.. Read
